- Hi
-
- I am hoping someone might have some suggestions that could help me. I
- finally tried to install AmiTCP 3.02b, instead of using MLINK. I can get
- a successful connection, and then telnet via the shell (which I am doing
- now). However, after that, I can not get anything else to connect.
- AMosaic, MUIFTP, the AmiTCP version of NapsaTerm (not the MLINK version
- of course), all report connection refused, no connect, or no host specified.
-
- I am wondering if this is because my connection is to my university
- account (via PPP, using InterInstall 1.51 dialer) which uses dynamic
- internet (IP) addresses. How should I have configured AmiTCP for
- those?
-
- And I also wonder how I should do the "myhost" name. Do I use the
- universities name? Do I use just numbers? Do I make up a name for my
- amiga, and use it alone, or tacked on to the universities name?
-
- I have looked at the AmiTCP FAQ, but still am not sure, and have tried
- many variations.
-
- So many questions...., I will appreciate any ansers!
-
- In the meantime, I hope people in other places are having as nice an
- early Spring as we are in the Pacific Northwest (Washington State) of
- America.
